Quilt Market Teaser #3 + Giveaway

Quilt Market Teaser #3 + Giveaway

A Sneak Peak at Birch Fabrics Circa 52

This past weekend we organized a photo-shoot of some wonderful products we crafted with the Circa 52 fabric collection that we will debut at Quilt Market in a few weeks.  We are fortunate to live in California, enjoying wonderful weather most of the year and this weekend didn’t disappoint; we had such beautiful sunny days for the shoot.

Circa 52 is a follow up collection to the highly successful Circa 50, both designed exclusively for Birch Fabrics by Monaluna.  Circa 52 is an
eclectic collection of whimsical retro designs with an inviting contemporary
color palette.

Here are a few behind-the-scenes photographs from the shoot as we set everything up and the children played.

I want to make a lightweight, full bodied skirt. I have a bad habit of sewing things in the time of the year (got on a quilt making binge in the NC summertime), but I always find my imagination and creativity is at their best when making items for the seasons I long for, rather than the season I'm in. So, after a week of rain, I cut, patchwork, spinny skirt seems like just the ticket with these fabrics.
