We have some exciting new geometric knits, brightly colored and ready to be sewn into some summertime cozies! Not only do we have our tried and true interlock knit – we have something new! Printed jersey knits!
You might be wondering, what is the difference? Well I hope I can sum it up for you. The interlock knit is a bit heavier and sturdier, with a 2 way stretch. This is better for stretch patterns with a little more structure such as looser fitting tees, dresses, and the like. The jersey knit is much lighter, with 4 way stretch, making it suitable for garments that are more fitted such as leggings, leotards, and even flowing knit maxi dresses.
Interlock is amazing for baby garments. It is a great weight to keep babies cozy and warm, but also easy to sew and perfect for beginners!

We hope you love the new jersey knits as much as we do! While these are just general suggestions, both substrates can be used for baby, kid, and adult garments. Heck, you can make your dog a sweater too if you’d like!
